FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Trajekt supports all vehicle types for Google Vehicle Ads and Meta Automotive Inventory Ads: cars, vans, SUVs, motorcycles, caravans, motorhomes, campervans, commercial vehicles, and other recreational vehicles. We've been specifically tested with UK caravan and motorhome dealer inventory data from major UK brands.
For dealer groups with multiple sites, each location has its own store_code (Google) and dealer_id (Meta). Trajekt can split your inventory by location from a combined feed, or process a single feed containing all locations with the appropriate codes already included. Each dealership's vehicles are correctly attributed to its Business Profile location on Google.
Trajekt connects to: your DMS (Dealer Management System) data export, your website's existing vehicle inventory XML or CSV feed URL, a custom inventory API, or a manual CSV upload. As long as your data contains make, model, year, condition, price, and image URL, Trajekt can convert it to both Google and Meta vehicle ad formats.
Yes. In the UK, VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is classified as Personally Identifiable Information under UK GDPR. For Google Vehicle Ads, VIN is optional — Trajekt uses your internal stock number or registration plate reference as the id field instead. For Meta, Trajekt handles VIN inclusion based on your configuration.
Trajekt includes the full VAT-inclusive price in vehicle feeds by default (the price shown to consumers on your website). If your source data contains ex-VAT prices, Trajekt can apply a VAT calculation rule to generate the correct consumer price. UK Vehicle Ads must show the price consistently between feed and landing page — both including or both excluding VAT.
If your website has a vehicle inventory page with structured data (XML sitemap or data feed URL), Trajekt can pull from that URL directly. Many dealer websites and DMS systems provide an XML or CSV export URL for their live inventory — this is Trajekt's preferred input for vehicle data.
Connect your inventory feed URL (typically from your website's DMS integration). Trajekt extracts make, model, year, condition, berths, layout, and price. Rules map your data to Google's vehicle field spec: make and model from your caravan names, year from registration or manufacture date, condition from new/used status, and store_code from your dealership identifier.
Yes. Trajekt handles both new and used vehicle inventory in the same feed. The condition field is set correctly: "new" for brand new stock, "used" for pre-owned. For caravans and motorhomes, "new" means new stock, "used" means pre-owned/approved used.
Minimum required: make, model, year, condition (new/used), price, at least one image, a landing page URL for the specific vehicle, and a store_code matching your Google Business Profile. VIN is optional in the UK. Additional fields (mileage, colour, body style, fuel type) are strongly recommended for ad performance.
If your inventory source is already structured (XML or CSV with clear make, model, year fields), you can typically get Trajekt configured and generating feeds within a day. Google Vehicle Ads then take 24-48 hours for initial review. Meta AIA catalogue processing is same-day. Total time from setup to live ads: typically 2-3 days.
Trajekt provides feed run history with vehicle counts, error logs showing any disapproval risks, field validation reports, and run timestamps. For campaign performance reporting, use Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager — Trajekt handles the feed, the platforms handle campaign reporting.
